What Is Proximity Marketing:

Proximity marketing is any system that utilizes location technologies to directly communicate with customers via their portable devices. Uses of proximity marketing include distribution of media at concerts, information, gaming and social applications, retail check-ins, payment gateways, and local advertising. Proximity marketing isn’t one single technology, it can actually be implemented utilizing a number of different methods. And it’s not limited to smartphone usage. Modern laptops that are GPS enabled can also be targeted through some proximity technologies.

Send any media type like adverts, videos, music, coupons, promotional offers and images directly to mobile device. Recipients receive an auto opt-in notification allowing them to opt in to receiving content in compliance with spam laws, privacy regulations and legislation, making the Mobimark® system a fully permission based marketing medium.

SMS Explained:

SMS marketing (short message service marketing) is a technique that uses permission-based text messaging to spread promotional messages.

To receive text message specials, new product updates or more information, customers are usually required to opt in to an automated system by texting an initial shortcode. When the 5 digit code is texted, that user’s phone number is then stored by whatever SMS marketing software is issuing the texts. A confirmation response is usually sent as receipt for opting in, with an opt-out code included for potential future unsubscribing

Once our clients’ customers have opted in and joined either a Guest Book or a client House List, Mobimark® will deploy SMS Post Marketing Campaigns to these customers through the use of rich media marketing and virtual presentations of specials, offers and promotions.

How NFC Works

The tech involved is deceptively simple: evolved from radio frequency identification (RFID) tech, an NFC chip operates as one part of a wireless link. Once it’s activated by another chip, small amounts of data between the two devices can be transferred when held a few centimeters from each other.

No pairing code is necessary to link up and because it uses chips that run on very low amounts of power (or passively, using even less), it’s much more power-efficient than other wireless communication types.

Near Field Communication (NFC) is a short range signal (4cm or less) accessed by tapping against the NFC tag embedded in Mobimark’s point of sale posters or displays. Our NFC smart technology can be applied to any form of paper, plastic or metal sale materials. We can customize, take our clients products and services and deliver them straight to potential customer smartphones.
